Privacy policy

Aqualido cleans and maintains private pools across New Cairo City, Egypt. This page explains, in plain words, what we keep when you visit this website or book with us, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

When you book or message us

Bookings happen on WhatsApp, and sometimes by email. We keep what you share with us so we can quote, schedule and carry out visits, send your visit reports and invoice you:

• your name and phone number
• your pool’s address or location, and how to get in (for example through compound security or your household manager)
• details about your pool, and your messages to us
• before-and-after photos of your pool and the water readings from each visit
• what you pay us, and when

The technician who services your pool gets the address, access details and contact they need for the visit.

When you visit this website

The website doesn’t ask for your name or contact details. Two services run it:

• Google Analytics shows us how many people visit, which pages they read, roughly where they are (to the city), what kind of device they use, and which buttons they tap, such as the WhatsApp button. It uses cookies to tell visits apart. We don’t use it to identify you.
• Cloudflare hosts the website and protects it from attacks. Like any web server, it handles your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages, and keeps security logs.

Cookies

We use Google Analytics cookies (their names start with _ga) to count visits. They don’t contain your name or phone number. Cloudflare may set a security cookie if it needs to check that a visitor isn’t a bot. The website works fully without cookies: you can block or delete them in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.

Advertising

We may advertise on Google. If you reach this website from one of our ads, Google Analytics and Google Ads record that the visit came from an ad and whether it led to a tap on the WhatsApp button, so we can see which ads work. We don’t currently use ads that follow you around other websites.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We share it only with the services we use to run Aqualido, each of which handles it under its own privacy policy:

• WhatsApp (Meta), for messages, photos and visit reports
• Google, for email (Gmail), Analytics and ads
• Cloudflare, for the website and for forwarding email sent to @aqualido.com addresses

We will also share information if the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep customer details and visit reports while you use Aqualido, and afterwards only as long as we need them for invoices and the records the law requires. Google deletes website visit data automatically after a set period of no more than 14 months.

What you can ask us

At any time, you can ask us to:

• tell you what information we hold about you
• correct it
• delete it (we may need to keep invoices the law requires)
• stop messaging you, except about a visit you have booked

Changes

If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
